Terms & Community Guidelines

Welcome to hookie. By creating an account or using the app you confirm that you are 13 or older and agree to these terms, our Community Guidelines and our Privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use hookie. Contact: myhookie.app@gmail.com.

Community Guidelines

You must not post, send or share:

• bullying, harassment, threats, hate speech or content that attacks people for who they are;
• nudity, sexual content, or anything sexual involving minors, which is reported to the authorities (see Child safety standards);
• violence, self-harm encouragement, or illegal activity;
• spam, scams, fake giveaways or misleading links;
• other people’s private information;
• photos, patterns or designs you don’t have the right to share. Credit the designer when you show someone else’s pattern.

Reporting: use Report on any post, comment, profile or message, and Block to stop someone from contacting you. We review reports as quickly as we can, remove content that breaks these rules, and can remove the accounts of people who break them.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old.
• Give accurate information and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• One person, one account. Don’t pretend to be someone else.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you create and share. By posting it on hookie you give hookie a free, worldwide licence to store, display and show it to other users inside the app, only to run the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account (except copies other users already shared or that the law requires us to keep).

Patterns, estimates and designs

hookie’s yarn amounts, square counts, rows and stitch counts are estimates. Tension, yarn and hook differ, so always make a swatch and buy a spare ball. hookie isn’t responsible for yarn bought or projects made based on an estimate.

Premium

Some features may need a paid hookie Premium subscription or a one-time purchase in a later version. Prices are shown before you buy. Purchases are made through Google Play, which handles payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds under its own terms. Free trials turn into paid subscriptions unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Things you must not do

• Break the law or these guidelines.
• Try to break, overload, copy or reverse-engineer the app, or access other people’s data.
• Use bots or automated scraping.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Settings. We can suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

Disclaimer and liability

hookie is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it working and safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, hookie is not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and tell you in the app about important changes. Continuing to use hookie means you accept the new terms.
