Delete your hookie account

You can delete your hookie account and its data at any time.

In the app (fastest)

Open hookie and tap your profile picture (top right).
Go to Settings & privacy.
Tap Delete my account and type DELETE to confirm.

Without the app

Send an email to myhookie.app@gmail.com from the email address you use for hookie, with the subject “Delete my hookie account”. We will delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.

What is deleted

Your account and sign-in.
Your profile, posts, comments, likes and public projects.
Messages you sent, and your chats.
Your saved designs, projects, yarn stash, hooks, settings and "My people" list.
Your membership in "Crochet together" groups (and groups you created).

What may be kept

Messages the other person sent you are kept with their account until they delete it.
Reports about content, and problem reports, for up to 12 months, to keep the community safe and fix bugs.
Anonymous yarn data, which isn’t linked to you.
Information we must keep by law.
